During a recent two-day trip to San Francisco, I was reminded of what it feels like to be in the presence of a company destined for greatness. I was invited to facilitate a leadership retreat for an Appdevelopment company who is in the midst of an amazing growth trajectory. Within the span of 14 months, not only have they grown from an idea in Southeast Pennsylvania to a team of 80 highly engaged developers and designers in Silicon Valley; more importantly, they’re attracting this elite talent from some of the Valley’s most admired brands.
This Impromptu brainstorming session was suggested by the young founder, who at only 23 years old, is wise beyond his years. While he’s excited about this massive early success, he’s also concerned that it might disrupt the intimacy of his startup.
