One of the greatest sales presentations that I’ve witnessed took place in 1996 when I invited the three Girl Scout sales champions that year to speak to my sales team. All three were under the age of fourteen, and together they had sold over 10,000 boxes of cookies. They were as adorable as they were innocent, but when it came to selling, they were savvy and as entrepreneurial as anyone I had met.
They started by sharing ‘The Girl Scout Promise‘ and when I asked them the secret behind their sales success, they recited the ‘Girl Scout Law – I will do my best to be honest, fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.’ That day, I vowed to never complicate the sales process and its how Michael Port will help you – Book Yourself Solid.
