What would you do for a friend?  Chances are, if you’re like most of us, you would do almost anything to help a friend.  Although much has been written about the “me” culture that seems to define this generation, Harvard Business School associate professor, Michael Norton, has actually discovered that our sense of happiness is infinitely greater when it involves helping others.  I learned a powerful habit, called “DOT – Do One Thing”  from Saatchi & Saatchi CEO Kevin Roberts, that I’ve applied to helping people.  Each day, the highlight of my day always seems to be the one thing I did to help someone get ahead in life.  I wonder what the net effect would be if more of us did that?  Here’s Michael perspective on the link between giving and happiness…..
