As I look back at my professional journey, I’m reminded that my greatest missed opportunity was undoubtedly a lack of diverse internships.  Although I worked full time in retail during my four years of college, I had never intended to pursue a permanent position in that industry upon graduation.  And like many college graduates today, I struggled to align my interests with the appropriate career path and as a result, settled for a job with a professional sports franchise that I held onto for only four month.  Those were different times, and still I didn’t stretch my imagination to see what was possible.  That’s why I have great admiration for the Intern Queen – Lauren Berger.  Lauren did explore and after 15 internships, she opted for the entrepreneurial path, creating www.internqueen.com – to help aspiring college students to connect with the best opportunities.  Here’s how she made the shift…..
