Remember when we all bought Livestrong, yellow bracelets five years ago and suddenly all we could see on each others’ wrists were bright yellow bracelets? We were inspired to be part of the movement that was destined to beat this deadly disease and we continue to support its cause today. In 1997, Lance Armstrong launched – The Lance Armstrong Foundation – with a powerful vision – ‘to inspire and empower’ cancer survivors and their families. Today, they continue to donate millions to cancer research and have become the preeminent source of advice for those battling the disease. The big question, however, remains transparency. Although the Livestrong Bracelet has sold more than 80 million to date, very little is revealed regarding the distribution of those funds.
