Taking the Hassle Out of Shipping

As the holidays quickly approach, it’s inevitable that we’ll each receive a quirky gift (Thanks for the X-Large bunny suit, Adam) where the hassle of sending it back will keep the little number hanging  in our closets.

Thanks to Kevin Gibbon and Josh Scott’s San Francisco startup Shyp you can now return the multi patterned crocheted sweater your aunt sent you without a box, tape, or even going to the post office.

Yes, you read that right, and no, Elon has not developed invisible drones to replace the postal service.

All you have to do is snap a picture of the item you’d like to ship (they’ve even returned mattresses), and a Shyp hero will pick it up, package it and ship it for you.

The service costs $5 and the team will  find you the lowest shipping rates.

While Shyp is a celebration for everyone who hates the post office, Kevin’s ultimate mission is to empower small business owners, think Etsy sellers and small food producers, to achieve global reach.

Shyp launched in San Francisco in 2013, is live in New York, and set to launch out of beta in Miami by the end of the year.

To learn more about how Shyp can fuel your small business or keep you from wearing an extra large bunny suit, tune into Kevin’s episode of 33founders and head over to Shyp to start using the service.
