Moe and Carson Tate discuss how she’s helped thousands of men and women better manage their time and become more productive.
Work Simply, Live Fully
As many of our members know, I have the highest regard for Warren Buffett, considered by many as the most admired investor of our generation, much is made of his investment and philanthropic track-record. And, deservedly so, still far less is known about the way he approaches his life and how he manages his time. By all accounts, Buffett lives a simple life; he doesn’t indulge and hardly veers outside his circle of competence, but the one thing that has always stood out to me is his devotion to thinking. “I insist on a lot of time being spent, almost every day, to just sit and think…” He stated, “..That is very uncommon in American business. I read and think. So I do more reading and thinking, and make less impulse decisions than most people in business. I do it because I like this kind of life”
Whether he’s celebrating a prized acquisition or reminding us that the sky is not falling; Buffett’s demeanor is always calm and poised. And as I prepared to speak with Carson Tate about what it means to ‘Work Simply and Live Fully,’ I couldn’t help but admire how one of the most important individuals on the planet could commit to such a lifestyle. Carson helps create some context as we drill deeper into these topics
The correlation between productivity and purpose
The big problem with time management programs
The most important message for Type-A overachievers
How an individual properly aligned evaluates opportunities
The optimal way to manage one’s energy level
The proper way to create a Master Task List
