One of the great responsibilities that each of us has in life is finding happiness and meaning in our work. As indicated by Gallup’s ‘Well being index’ – When you’re engaged and inspired by your work, not only will you have something to look forward to each day, more importantly, you’ll have twice the odds of living a thriving life. As a nation, I realize that we’re not living in the best of times economically, but as entrepreneurs, the glass is certainly half full. Entrepreneurs see opportunity when others feel anxiety, they gain confidence when others sense fear, and ultimately, their passion helps them persevere when others tend to give up. Life is an evolutionary process, and when you approach your career with that sense of purpose, you’ll understand why the great Steve Jobs said – “The only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking, don’t settle.
