The best Hollywood movies are the ones that most resemble the human condition – they keep you at the edge of your seat because they almost always involve challenge and struggle. Growing up, we all yearn for social acceptance – especially from family, close friends and authority figures. So, naturally, when a teacher tells me that “I’m retarded” – I can either accept and confirm it or do something radical that proves otherwise. Ingrid Vanderveldt, Dell Entrepreneur-in-residence, has risen to entrepreneurial stardom because she choose the latter.
